The Duntroon Society Committee is one of the four standing committees of the Royal Military College of Australia (RMC-A) Association. The purpose of the Duntroon Society is to encourage continuing interest in the RMC-A, particularly among graduates, former cadets and former members of staff of the Army’s officer training establishments. The objectives of the Duntroon Society are to:

  • administer the membership of the RMC-A Association;
  • enable members to maintain their connection with the College, facilitate reunions, and foster social contact among members ;
  • market the Association and publish regular periodicals and newsletters to members of the Association; and
  • promote the Association to the Australian community and international communities.

Membership of the RMC-A Association is open to graduates of the RMC, OCS, OTU, and WRAAC OCS; and to all commissioned officers of the Australian Army after the date of incorporation of the Association. Associate membership is available to other persons who wish to join the Society and are recommended by a current ordinary member.

You might be interested learning more about The Podmore Foundation, which was established in 2007 by a number of members and former members of the Class who entered RMC-A Duntroon in 1970 and graduated in 1973 or went on to other careers in Defence and/or the public or private sectors. The Foundation was established as a vehicle for them, and other like minded individuals and entities, to put something back into the community - local and international - in gratitude for the opportunities they experienced. In particular, the steering committee and the inaugural membership wanted to place a focus on assisting young people, families and communities to reach their full potential through gifts, scholarships, bursaries, prizes, programs, projects or specific grants; as well as managing funds for other charitable activities

Membership of the Podmore Foundation is open to all members of the public. Tax-deductible donations are sought and accepted from all individuals and organisations supportive of the aims of the Foundation.
