Biennial Reunion 2016

For many years the Duntroon Society has organised a national biennial reunion around mid-year at a place of interest (other than Canberra). At the 10th Biennial Reunion, held in Cowra in 2014, it was agreed that the 2016 reunion would be held in Adelaide. The committee of the South Australian Branch has prepared a program of events over three days based on Adelaide city and the immediate environs.  This program has been developed to highlight the cultural and geographic highlights of Adelaide and permits members to make a short weekend trip away, or if time permits, over spend longer period taking advantage of off-peak travel. Of course, for many people a visit to the premier wine regions is a must, although it should be noted that the Barossa and McLaren Vale tours can also be of great interest to non-drinkers.

Those less familiar with South Australia may consider supplementing the organised three-day program with additional activities or visits with class groups, partners or friends. The Adelaide organisers can recommend further trips to destinations including Victor Harbour, the Adelaide Hills, Kangaroo Island, the Flinders Ranges, the York Peninsula, etc.  A week can pass very quickly in SA!

Please note that while events are organised, attendees are to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements.  Group rates for accommodation have been organised at two recommended hotels.

Please fill out the Booking Form to confirm your attendance at your selected activities and submit by email or mail but no later than Friday 22 April to Peter Neuhaus at peter.neuhaus@bigpond.com or 15 Roberts St. UNLEY SA 5061.  A clear indication is needed as to those events you will be joining and the number that will attend. Your Booking Form should be accompanied by a funds transfer or cheque for the amount involved.
